HDPE Pipe
Jointing Methods

HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) pipe jointing works involve connecting sections of HDPE pipes together securely to ensure leak-proof and durable pipelines. Here are some common methods used for HDPE pipe jointing:

Services

Heat Fusion
for HDPE Pipe Joining

  • Butt Fusion: Joining the pipe ends end-to-end after heating.

  • Socket Fusion: Utilizing heating to insert pipe ends into fittings, suitable for smaller diameter pipes.

  • Electrofusion: Employing specialized fittings with embedded heating elements to melt and fuse pipes and fittings together when energized.

Mechanical Couplings

These are fittings that use mechanical means (such as clamps or compression fittings) to join two HDPE pipes together. They are quick and easy to install and allow for some degree of movement.

Flanged Joints

Flanges are attached to the ends of the HDPE pipes, and then the flanges are bolted together using gaskets to create a sealed joint. This method is commonly used for connecting HDPE pipes to other types of pipes or equipment.

Transition Fittings

These fittings are used to connect HDPE pipes to pipes made of other materials, such as PVC or steel.

Heat
Shrink Sleeves

These sleeves are placed over the joint area and then heated to shrink and form a tight seal around the joint.
